Ion Luca Caragiale caricature

I recently made this caricature at the invitation of the International Festival "TRIBUTE TO THE WORLD'S GREAT WRITERS" that is currently taking place simultaneously in many places in Romania and in which many caricaturists from all over the world participate. It has become a very nice project.

Ion Luca Caragiale (1852-1912) is considered one of the greatest playwrights in Romanian language and literature, as well as one of its most important writers and a leading representative of local humour.

I made the caricature in my usual square format, but they wanted all entries in A4 or A3, so I presented it that way, with a frame around it..

The project received a good response. More than a hundred caricaturists from around the world answered the call and participated. Here you can see part of it.

The organizers apparently really appreciated my work, because I received (along with 32 others) an 'Award for Excellence' for it, which I am of course very happy with :-)
